Cloud Account Setup

This instruction will help you aka Cloud Service Provider/Reseller/CSP Channel Partner information in the CloudThrottle

You can add accounts to CloudThrottle by adding existing accounts that you have already created in a cloud provider console or by creating new accounts in CSP.

Prerequisites

New Account

You can add a existing accounts in two ways:  By using Add Button to add one record at a time or you can use Bulk Import

Create New Cloud Account in CSP

  1. In the CloudThrottle Console, navigate to the "Cloud Account Setup" menu
  2. Click on the "New Account" menu to navigate to Create New Account Page.
  3. Click on the "Create Account" to add account details
  4. Enter Cloud Provider, Account Name, email associated with this account, Infra. and Organization unit under which the account will be created
  5. Click on "Next" Button, to validate entered information
  6. Click on "Next" Button again to submit the New account request
  7. ~wait for few seconds "Account creation is still pending..- "
  8. Click on "Refresh Icon" to see the status of new account creation
  9. If there is no issues with creation of New Account, the New Account will appear in "Existing Account" List
  10. ~Else you will see Error Message under "Status Description" Column, resolve the issue and resubmit "New Account" request again
  11. ~If unable to resolve the issue, create Support Ticket at CloudThrottle

Existing Account

You can add a existing accounts in two ways:  By using Add Button to add one record at a time or you can use Bulk Import

Add Existing Cloud Account

  1. In the CloudThrottle Console, navigate to the "Cloud Account Setup" menu
  2. Click on the "Existing Account" menu to navigate to existing account Page.
  3. Click on the "Add Account" to add account details
  4. Enter Account Number, Account Name, email associated with this account, Join Date, Currency, Join Method and Organization unit this account belongs to
  5. Enter "Associate Information" like CSP, Infra, Vendor, Env,. Product, etc.
  6. Click on create Button.

Import Existing Cloud Account

  1. In the CloudThrottle Console, navigate to the "Cloud Account Setup" menu
  2. Click on the Existing Account.
  3. Click on "Bulk Import" Button
  4. Download the Template, fill all the details and save it on your computer
  5. To upload, click on "Choose File to import" button and follow the instruction
  6. In case of any errors, CloudThrottle generate error-file. Download error file, validate and fix it before import again.

Update Account:

  1. In the CloudThrottle Console, navigate to the "Cloud Account Setup" menu
  2. Click on the Existing Account to navigate to the Page.
  3. Select Account to update the information
  4. Under "Action" column Click on "3-dots" and then select "Edit" Button
  5. Make Account information changes and then click on "Update" button to save the changes

Delete Account:

  1. In the CloudThrottle Console, navigate to the "Cloud Account Setup" menu
  2. Click on the Existing Account to navigate to the Page.
  3. Under "Action" column Click on "3-dots: and select Delete Button
  4. If an Account is already mapped to Product, Budget, and Chargecode, Unmap it before deletion
  5. ~To View mapped information, Under the "Product Details" Column click on "View" to see mapped information
  6. ~To unmap, Click on "3-dots" and then Click on Unmap Button
  7. Confirm the Deletion

If a Product is already associated/mapped with an account, it is not possible to Delete the Account. After unmapping associated information you can delete record.
